Mexico City Mexico - morning stroll

 

Great morning for a walk.  Looks like it will be a great day.  Getting out to see what the neighborhood had to offer as the sun was coming up.
And even at this time of the morning the streets and sidewalks were full and the day was in full swing.  But with 30 million people there has to be lots of them moving all the time.

Mexico City Mexico - Always an adventure...

I have not been to Mexico City for many many years - it just seems to get bigger and more interesting with age.
And as it happens I landed in the same hotel I stayed at here in a previous career - funny how that happens.
People, cars and movement all the time.  Have not had the opportunity to get out as much as I would like but maybe before we head home.

Twin Cities MN - Grandma 85, Anna 18 Birthday Time to Celebrate

Both Mom and Anna hit landmarks in September - 85 and 18.
We got a fabulous September day and enjoyed a Twins Game followed by an evening enjoying the wonderful weather and lots of conversation.....some good and some more interesting!
Good celebration for all...on to 90 and 21!

Saint Paul MN - Long joins the family

Tonight we all met Long - and we all had a wonderful evening together.
Long is from Vietnam - Hanoi.  He has been studying in Singapore for the last several years and so far is enjoying Macalester and his first few weeks in Minnesota - the snow is yet to come.
We already have a few interesting connections.  We share the same birthday.  He has a roommate from Rochester MN with a family name I have no doubt we grew up with his parents who lived up the hill.
He is intrigued by ice fishing - should be able to make that happen in February.
Again, it was great to get the Mac gang together and welcome our new friend to the family.  And great the DQ could join us as well - a few hours off daddy duty.  And Patty makes sure we all don't stray too far out there with all the conversations that can ensue when we all gather for the evening.
Missed Petar but will get him back in the routine after his adventures in the Netherlands this term.
