Anna does Sleepy Hollow and the Castles of Westchester County NY
An adventure day.
We wandered off to check out Sleepy Hollow and the surrounds of Washington Irving. It happens to be nestled around the historic castles of Westchester County - Rockefellers and others from that time all built along the hills of the Hudson River.
Unfortunately being late November they are only open for tour on the weekend. That didn't stop us from wandering up the drives to see what we could see.
We also took in the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. As Anna reported, there was a time that we thought we may be lost, and possibly stuck, surrounded by the hills and graves. Tight gravel roads with sharp u-turns - good thing we took the small car or we may still be there.
Stamford CT - The Fish Church
Every town has to have its claim to fame. In Stamford CT, the Fish Church is one of their items. Built to resemble a fish it settles in nicely to a curve in one of the major roads through town.
Another glorious day and the walk from the train station back was another shirt sleeve event - hard to believe in November.

Anna does Newark and Little Silver NJ...I get there via NYC
Started the morning with a ferry trip in to the City for a fix up project on the Upper West Side. Mission accomplished and some time to spare before heading to Newark for Disney on Ice - Toy Story 3.
Grace and her car full made an adventure of getting to the arena taking in many of the more interesting sights available in central Newark - one of those lock the doors kind of ride!
We finished the day with our first Thanksgiving Feast at Neil, Grace and Christopher's home. As you would expect way too much delicious food.
Anna does Long Branch NJ
An uneventful flight. We were actually 45 minutes early at Newark - a rarity for sure.
Let the party start with dinner at Ed and Lara's. Simon was in from the UK as well.
