New York - Always a great spot to be in January

Always something new in New York City.

This trip we had the hotel surrounded by people with guns. Must have been someone important running around. They just let me wander on by and check in.

International Squash tournament set up and running in Grand Central Station.

A great friend from Moscow taking in the city for the first time.

Cool, crisp sunny days.

A piano bar that brings back the craziness and memories of the old Klondike Kate Casinos.

And a dance competition in the hotel for the weekend. A hotel full of mothers and their dancing girls. Picture "Fran Dresher, the Nanny, doubled with 2 girls in training and you know what I had next door and I know every word they said....and when they ramped back up at 6am on Saturday morning and volume 20 it was almost too much. And how is it that most sentences started with "it is none of my business but...I was so tempted to bang on the ajoining door and let them know it wasn't and they should shut up. But I would suspect if they shut up they would explode.

Home to rain and puddles among the snow and a great evening with friends.
