Had a quick trip in a great Friday night and then wandered and wandered with nephew Eddie DeMarkey on Saturday. Covered more than enough miles to make up for short comings I may have - LOL. Finished up the day with dinner with Eileen and Pete. Backout the door tomorrow - to warmer weather in Minnesota as it happens.
9 inches of wet heavy snow - as you would expect in March in Minnesota. Warming right back up so it won't be around long. Plenty of time for another few before spring truly settles in.
The walkers, ice fishermen and turkeys are all out when we get 55F in February.
Warm and sunny every day this time. Even got got a boat ride in on the Intercoastal Waterway. And expect it will be abotu 75F warmer from when I left Minnesota days ago.
Planned another trip down about a month after my return to Minnesota. Turned out to be great timing - woke up to -20F with -35F windchill - arrived to about 80F.
The good news is it should be 45F in Saint Paul when I head back in a couple days.
Much warmer and sunnier trip this time in FL - and enjoying it all. As I watched a family playing "jinga" as they waited to get in to a restaurant I realized that "jinga" was the perfect description of how it feels in our world over the last month or so.
I used to go to NYC every January for a work conference - usually the coldest and nastiest week of the year. Different weekend but a cold, snowy and windy weekend - not Minnesota but an ugly NYC style weekend. Still got some wandering in and took in many of the other things only NYC can offer.
