The yearly Memorial Weekend gathering happened once again. A bigger crowd was in the works, but we ended with a bit fewer. Still a great night and so much fun to gather, hang and catch up.

Came home this evening and the mallards are back again. Starting to think they may have set up a nest very, very close. Quite a trek to water from here - but they are smarter than me on those matters.
And as the evening went on one bright and huge moon came up over the neighbors as the wind blew and the humidity quickly went away.
After all the rain, Saturday became quite a steamy day for the month of May.
Got the bike ride in and then later in the day stopped back in as the mural project had another day of events. Lots of people out, enjoying the art and the local establishments.
A grey and rainy week around here - but we sure need the water. Things blooming all over as well.
And to finish off the day, I went to my first "work" event in well over a year. An outside event on a rainy day had us all huddled in the few available spots we could find when the sky opened up mid-event.
It was moving day for Cheikh - done with dorm life at Mac. A bit of a gap so he is spending a couple weeks with me until he moves in to his new spot.
Classes done - so we gathered the crew for a catch up and talk about the summer ahead. Got a perfect night to kick off the deck and summer ahead.
Went with a Sri Lanka theme just for fun - Niketh filled two plates so I did okay...
Was out getting organized for the morning ride and all of a sudden I had three visitors walking up the driveway and then off to the back yard. They had no interest or concern about me - just out takign in the morning and pecking at a few things in the grass. Hopefully, not taking up home here.
And then off to Wayzata for the Saturday bike ride with the group. Expected a cloudy day but we got perfect sun and just enough warmth to make for a great ride.
We wore are masks in as Governor Walz announced the masks come off tomorrow. Normal gets closer every day.
Always a great experience here - a couple shots of 1 of 3 great courses of food, fun and conversation.
Sunshine and 70F + today - great day to get get out and enjoy the day on my bike.
Stopped by a new landing overlooking the Mississippi in North Minneapolis and got home to a half a dozen fire trucks blocking off my street - and people scurrying around everywhere. Someone punctured a gas line was the story to go with all the trucks - right across the street from me it turns out.
