We thought it was a good day to kick off Friday rides - a bit chillier than we thought it would be. But it was sure worth it when we were done.
Found a new "stop" last weekend and checked it out once again today - a keeper for sure.

All vaccinated so we took a night out to enjoy a great spot and a lots of "useless" conversation - but all good and lots of fun.
I don't remember seeing wild turkeys around for most of my time in the Twin Cities Metro. Now, whether I am driving, biking or walking I seem to run in to turkeys. They just seem to be everywhere anymore.
A few years back they were even wandering around my street one morning - we'll see if they become regulars this year since they seem to be everywhere.
This was yesterday, by the UofM - a usual spot to run in to them - but also not their usual time to "hang out" with the rest of us.
We added Lakewood Cemetery to our walk this AM. Got a bit of spitting rain and finally a bit of sun. Other than the flock of wild turkeys had the place mostly to ourselves.
Got back from the trip and the weather was bike ride perfect. We got off and got in our miles for the day - and coffee and treats of course
We finished up in the South Congress Area and the streets were full - no doubt a need by all to get OUT OF THE HOUSE.
Enjoyed a bit of sun, music and loads of conversation and laughs.
Wandered up to Austin today and started our afternoon by meeting up with Thad, our newest family member.
Included taking in a few sites and Margie and Nancy trying to sort a selfie with a Texas Police Officer.
Last night we did Mexican and tonight it was BBQ Tex/Mex with all the sides. Way more food than we could all eat - some leftovers for A and D.
And we finished it off with homemade ice cream from their neighborhood local shop.
This the the northern most mission before you arrive in the center of downtown San Antonio and The Alamo.
The site has the smallest footprint and remaining ruins. It is closely surrounded by the life of the city in 2021. Still an interesting site to see.
This is the southern most mission on this tour. Just north as you bike in you experience a glorious community sculpture. Over 700 community members made one of the many unique sculptures hanging on the much larger framework sculpture.
The bike ride was filled with lots of unique birds, wildlife, butterflies and other insects. The lush green of spring and lots of local sites and characters along the way - and other bits of art here and there.
