New York NY - A nice fall break

An opportunity to head East for a long weekend came up and off I went.
Perfect weather for the end of October - the rain didn't blow in until I was heading home and our flight got out before the "real storm" arrived.  Everyone was out and enjoying a beautiful fall day in the city.
I took the express bus in from LaGuardia to the city.  The bus was stuck in traffic trying to get to the last gate to pick up the last group of people and finally the bus driver suggested anyone with a flight should get their bags and walk in.  He expected we would be at least another 40 minutes before the front of the building.  We were in the middle of a major road and just parked.  Seems like there is still a long wait until we see the "new" LaGuardia.
Also got to cheer on the Vikings with Minnesotans living in NYC - the filled a good sized bar.
Lots of good fun and new surprises once again.

Saint Paul MN - A bit of the fall color

The fall transition seems to be running a whole lot later and longer this year.  And with the ongoing rainy days and cloudy skies, we don't always get to enjoy the brightness of all the trees.
A few attempts to capture - not as great as they were in real life.

Owatonna MN - Lunch day with old, dear friends

Rainy, windy and even a few flurries from time to time but we still made our lunch date in Owatonna with Bev and Stephie.
And finished it off with homemade apple pie and ice cream at Bev's.
Great day in my birthplace.

Saint Paul MN - Dinner with the Mac Team

A good night to gather with the Mac guys to catch up and hear about what's up on campus.  Niketh had a better offer - otherwise, we gathered the crew and a couple extras.
It was a taste testing of many "Sonia" treats - we added jellies to the appetizer list on baguettes and then added pickled beans and veggies with the dinner.

Saint Paul MN - Final day for 2019

Twin Cities Start Up Week ended tonight.
Pop Up Brunch in our lobby this morning and then a big presentation show followed by one more party with more great Mississippi views.

Saint Paul MN - Another night another event

Big event at the Union Depot tonight.
Another group of people with amazing ideas and lots of people ready to hear their stories.
Great to see the renovated Union Depot get used for big, cool events.

Minneapolis MN - Start Up Week continues....

It's Monday so daytime events in Saint Paul and then 2 late afternoon/evening events on the UofM campus.  One in the Alumni Center and then across the street to the Football Stadium "club room".
And who do I run in to but cousin Joe Cashman.  Added to the fun.
