Saint Paul MN - Mac guys over for dinner

We were all able to gather between snow storms for dinner and a catch up on the February from hell.
Alex came early and then off to a better offer and Kristijan got involved and wandered in late - but everyone made a stop and we finished it all off with great sundaes.

I learned this week that the building I work in has historic designation.....our water fountains.

Saint Paul MN - Another day another snowstorm in February

We seem to be trying to pack in the whole winter in 28 days.
Record cold, snow, rain, sleet, snow, snow and more snow.
Another 8 inches today.  More on the way for the weekend.
Set the record for the most ever in February and made the top 10 of any monthly storm list - and this is from our least snowy month usually.
At least it was a warm, windless day - a bit refreshing actually.

Rosemount MN - Hunter's Hockey Game

The whole family was out for Hunter's game against the team right behind them.
My schedule hasn't worked out as well this year to get to the games - but looks a bit better over the next few weeks.
Good fun to hang with Terri, Gina and their gang - and get a WIN.

Saint Paul MN - a few views from the new work spot

I am very very lucky to get to work in a spot with beautiful views of the Twin Cities.  The funny thing is the sun hasn't been out since I arrived.
I have seen it on lovely sunny days and WOW - and still great on a cloudy day.
Will add some more from the other side and on a sunny day down the road.
Lucky guy to get to enjoy this day to day.

Saint Paul MN - It was like birthday night day 2

We had about half of the group we expected the day before - so we had the same menu and decor for another day.  Birthday party day 2 - lol.
All good - about half of the first party and some new faces to make it fresh.
And then we all headed off to the Trevor Noah event - great night out.

Stillwater MN - Not a great weather week for a party....

We are back in Stillwater once again for the annual birthday dinner.  And Dan was able to join us for the evening as well.
It was quite the week.  We had snow and then a meltdown.  Rain and sleet followed that.  And then it snowed.  And it snowed again.  And we woke up to -30F.  So cold and the roads were a mess.
We lost a few to weather, others to illness and then a few other things came up so a smaller than some of our recent gatherings.  But a hearty bunch and a great fun night.
Alex and Niketh got out for a walk on the frozen lake as well.

Saint Paul MN - Finally, the snow arrives

It seems like everyday this week is a snow storm.
We have not seen much snow so far this winter.  That changed this week and we now have more snow this week than we have seen all winter - and some good sized snows.
And of course, the cold blows in behind it - not as bad as 10 days ago but still nasty for the next couple days.
Its been a winters worth of winter in less than 2 weeks.

Saint Paul MN - Potluck day at Mac

Two day process this year.
Niketh and I took on his project on Friday.  And Alex and I took on his project on Saturday afternoon.
The best review is we had nothing left at the end of the evening - so success!
Niketh and I had a few surprises along the way getting our dessert ready to serve - still trying to figure out what went wrong.  Great taste - but had a few visual issues.
And Nam stepped in to help with the stove work.
And the great day became a slippery mess as we left to wander home for me and off to who knows what for a Mac guy on a Saturday night.

Saint Paul MN - And then it felt like March

The warm up has arrived.  None too soon - wow.  We survived another ugly stretch of weather.
Today it was dripping all over.
Finally, got back out with our walking gang and finished it off with music with our coffee - full service here today.

Rochester MN - Mayo Day

Spent most of a day wandering from place to place at Mayo.
The place is its own art gallery.  Always great fun to go to a new location or on this trip to one of the "old Mayo" floors - and the big beautiful murals.
