Dubai - construction in every direction

Arrived this morning. So far everyone suggests that I go shopping..........hmmmm. Must be more to do. In every direction around the hotel there are crains and new towers going up - as well as the world's longest mall next door. And next door is the camel and sheep farm - probably not long for that location.

Madrid - I found the bike path

I ran across a bike shop last weekend that rents bikes. They also had a map that showed me a bike path that loops the whole entire city - 65k, about 40 miles. It is a bit of ride to get to it so it will take many trips for me to complete the loop. I bought 10 hours of time - so I have a few more rides waiting for me. I can now say I had a bike ride in February in the northern hemisphere! Warm sunny day here - very little wind. It was a great way to start the riding season. And I got to see a whole part of Madrid I have never seen. Rode along part of the southern loop today.

Cool and grey here today. I think it is about 7c - 9c Abby. Cool wind out of the north.

Madrid - Karaoke Night at the office

Another work location and another party. And they even had "These boots are made for walking".

Madrid - a new neighborhood

We rented a second apartment. I am one of the first to settle in. Another neighborhood in Madrid - a much older neighborhood than the previous one. Settling in just fine. Nice Cuban dinner last night.

Barcelona - Saturday Bike Group Opportunities

Everywhere I walked today I ran in to these rental racks all over - and bike paths painted down throughout the central area. You rent them and then ride them and park them at he next spot or bring them back where you started. More for transportation than exercise - but that works too. No excuses here for not taking a ride..............and Carly can park and walk at any time.

The temp was almost to Carly's age and liking................17C. Oops 60! Smile now C!

A great sunny day - much appreciated after a month of no sun in Moscow.
